very good post
One of those games that you hate to watch. The Tribe has been on the other end of those, so I know how it is. 46-0 JJK in the 2nd when we started seeing the fresh jerseys. Hats off to B.I. for showing class and not hanging 100 on a badly outmanned but game Wildcat squad. A win is a win, but we were sloppy with turnovers and penalties. If we want to compete with Norton next Friday, we are going to have to tighten up.
To the kids from Pound: Bigger than the game of football is the game of life, and in life sometimes you have to battle even when things are bad. I sat on the Pound side the last 2 quarters (me and elp always go 50-50 when our teams play. We sit on the Wise side for the 1st 2 qtrs, and the LB side the last 2). What I saw was a bunch of young men who played hard and never quit. I expected that from a Chris Crabtree-coached team. It would have been easy for those 22 or so kids to quit when Chris and Dakota left. I commend those kids for continuing the commitment that they started. Men: you earned both my respect and admiration. The lessons that you will learn will serve you well in life. Be patient and work hard guys. It will take a few years perhaps, but you will turn it around. We have been there-I know. Chris turned it around at Ervinton with much less to work with. Good luck the rest of the way guys. I will be pulling for you all.

very good post
Pound - Might as well start basketball practice.
Wise - Not as mighty as some claim. Took advantage of Pound screwups, but their offense didn't do much of anything. Two quick passes to a streaking receiver and a sweep were it.
If you're playing Pound, kick it to 3!!!

We would help ourselves if we quit beating up on pansies like Twin Springs

Pound has some growing to do, but they will be alright. Maybe not this year, maybe not next but they will win again.
They haven't played any of the BIG BOYS yet. The Indians better bring a boat to Waveland. Will get ugly in a hurry.
hhmmmm.... seams kinda quiet to me fellars. This is it from all of the trash talking about and between these two teams?? oh well... i'm just glad there were no bad injuries tonight. and glad to c a huge addition back on pounds side. BIG #64..wow. he looked impressive tonight. so did several of pounds men. #22 had a great showing on the VERY few times he even came close to the ole pig skin on offense. But on the other side, wise had lots of talent on hand to pik up where the mistakes and penaltys left em hangin. #44, #58, #12, #15, and umm... who am i forgetting??? Oh yeah! that #28 strouth kid :P #28 played almost to his usuall hard nosed tough self tonight. could not catch a break tonight tho. hang in there christopher, i have a fealing in the next several weeks there will b redemption in ur future! personally im glad this game is behind the tribe and cats.. too much CRAP floating around was stinking up 2 of the most honest teams in the LPD. go Strouth... go Strouth.............

??? wats the un-happy face for??
Gotta give the Bristol paper credit on the JJK-Pound pick:
Lonesome Pine Dist.
Pound at J.J. Kelly
Things could get emotional tonight when these two teams open LPD play. It will be Pound head coach Chris Crabtree's first game as a coach in the Lonesome Pine District and it will be against his alma mater. Meanwhile, J.J. Kelly running back Chris Strouth will be playing against the school he played for last year, before transferring to Kelly. J.J. Kelly has too many weapons for Pound and look for Strouth, Devan Sproles, Matt Dotson and company to roll to a win in moving to 2-0 on the season.
Prediction: J.J. Kelly 46, Pound 14
